As current students, the SAC members serve as ambassadors to the University by offering support and providing volunteer assistance to UTC and the Office of Alumni Affairs. As official student representatives for UTC, SAC Ambassadors pledge their loyalty to the University’s goals of serving the community by preparing our student body through academic, athletic, recreational and civic engagement opportunities. SAC also serves as the leadership team for The Future Alumni Membrs (The FAM).
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Student Alumni Council was formed in 1974 under the direction of the UTC Office of Alumni Affairs as a link between prospective students, current students, alumni, administration, faculty, staff, friends and the community. The council cooperates with the University of Tennessee Alumni Association, the UTC Office of Alumni Affairs and the Affiliation of Student Advancement Programs (CASE ASAP).
Every fall and spring SAC hosts a recruitment drive for prospective new members.
