If you are bringing a computer to campus you can get it ready before coming to campus. Here is what you need to do:
1. Run updates!!! Microsoft released new updates today. Even if you use a Mac you need to run updates.
If you need instructions for Windows visit: http://netaccess.utc.edu/weekly.html
For Macs click on the Apple and select Software Update.
2. Antivirus is required for Windows computers. Visit http://netaccess.utc.edu/supportedantivirus.html for a list of supported AV products.
TIP: Did you get a new computer with a trial version of antivirus? If so, it is best to either purchase it or uninstall it and install Microsoft Security Essentials (free).

3. Check to see if you will pass registration at http://prereg.utc.edu/authentication/_remotescan.jsp
