It is with great sadness that we announce long-time Psychology professor Dr. George Nagle passed away on Monday, May 18, 2009.
He was born in Helena, Mont., and raised in San Francisco. He was the son of the late Estelle Walsh Nagle of San Francisco. George received his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and moved to Chattanooga in 1974 for the opening of the Veteran’s Administration Outpatient Clinic. He proudly worked with the VA until he retired in November 2007. He was active in local, state and national psychological associations, and served as adjunct faculty for the Psychology Department of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Nagle; daughter, Georgia Nagle, Atlanta; son, Eugene Nagle, Adairsville, Ga.
Memorial services will be announced later.
