Intramural season is in full swing here at UTC.
Coordinator of Intramurals Eddrick Brooks says that if students would like to play an intramural sport, they can go to the utc.edu intralmurals page and print out a roster sheet or pick up a roster sheet in the Arc. Brooks says that all students have to do is fill out the sheet with the names and the UTC ID’s of the the students that want to be on the team and submit it to the Arc.
Student Coordinator of Intramurals Terrance Williams says that UTC offers about 25 different intramural sports every year. Brooks says that the five most popular intramural sports are football, softball, volleyball, basketball, and soccer.
Williams says he believes that intramurals have a positive impact on the students.

UTC student Marcus Hunt says her plays intramural basketball, volleyball, softball, and flag football.
“I like to play intramurals because it gives me time to hang out with my friends and do athletic stuff while competing against other students,” Hunt said.
Williams says that on top of intramurals being a positive recreation for students, intramurals also helps to create jobs for students such as referees, scorekeepers and sited directors.
