This fall UTC Campus Recreation will be expanding our informal recreation activities through offering Mac-Rec on various days in Maclellan Gym. These activities will include dodgeball, volleyball, spikeball and early-morning basketball.
The idea behind Mac-Rec is to give our members set times to gather and participate in free-play informal recreation with others interested in the respective sport. It is also an opportunity to meet potential Intramural team members!
Mac-Rec hours will begin Monday, August 25th and the schedule below will run through September.
Dodgeball M,W 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Spikeball T,R 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Volleyball M,W 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Basketball W,F 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
During these reserved time, the only activity that will take place on the court is the sport it is reserved for.
Follow us on Social Media for updates! Please feel free to contact Greg Reinhardt with any questions.
Intramural Flag Football, Volleyball and Indoor Soccer Leagues will be returning this Fall to UTC’s Campus Recreation. All current UTC students and staff with a Campus Recreation membership are eligible to participate. Both men and women are encouraged to participate in all sports, and there are different leagues, including ones pertaining to Greek organizations and residence halls.
Those interested must register online using the IM Leagues site. Flag Football registration is August 18-September 4, and Volleyball and Indoor Soccer are September 1-October 9. Teams range in the limit on number of players, so check the specifics of each league. As well, in registration, there are options to select for one’s availability.
A captain must be designated for each team, and (s)he must attend a captain’s meeting held the day before registration closes.
The Flag Football league begins September 7, and Volleyball and Indoor Soccer begin on October 12.
Intramural champions will compete in extramural tournaments representing UTC. In the past, UTC’s Intramurals teams have competed in state championships, and our Flag Football team went to Nationals.
