UTC Smart Grid Workshop(USW)2011

UTC Smart Grid Workshop(USW) 2011.
Date: 12th October (Wednesday) 

Venue: UC Auditorium, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga 735 Vine St, Chattanooga, TN 37403
Participation is open to industry, academia, government, and media, and is SUBJECT TO REGISTRATION.
USW ‘11 aims to provide a high-level platform for power sectors, including both Industry and Academia, around the nation to share their progress and experience in smart grid research and construction. It is a unique opportunity to showcase the latest deployments, lessons learned and experience gained during recent tornados and hurricanes. USW ’11 hopes to leverage this workshop to promote Smart Grid Technologies, and envision the Technology Road Map for the 21st Century.

 

Get Continuing Education Credit (CEUs)
6 CEU’s will be available for 6 contact hours for the SMART-GRID Workshop participants.  The cost to the individual is $10 and can be paid at registration with a check or credit card.

OMICRON Roadshow Bus Coming to UTC!

September 1st, 2011

OMICRON, the world leader in power systems testing equipment, will be bringing their roadshow bus to UTC’s “Get On Board” Day event on Friday, September 9th. The roadshow bus will be found in the parking lot on the east side of the Engineering, Math, and Computer Science (EMCS) Building from 11:30 to 1:00. A classroom-on-wheels, the bus contains the latest in OMICRON testing equipment as well as a model transformer.
