New Learning Express Platform

Learning Express Library, a fantastic resource accessible through the UTC Library, includes test preparation, computer software instruction, and career tools. This resource has now moved to a new platform, which requires any users with accounts on the previous platforms to create new accounts. The database can be accessed here  or via LearningExpress Library in the database drop down menu from the UTC Library homepage search box. Here are some changes

Scheduled Database Outage for Friday May 30.

On Friday, May 30, 2014, the Library’s access to EBSCO databases and services may be intermittently unavailable during the company’s scheduled network upgrades. The service window is scheduled to begin at 9:00 PM EDT. You may experience intermittent access to EBSCOhost products and services for the duration of the service window, which is scheduled to end at 11:00 PM EDT. Please plan ahead to use the EBSCO databases outside

Access to Natural Standard Ends

Due to very low usage and rising costs, the UTC Library will no longer offer access to the Natural Standard database. For health-related research needs, please use one of the following resources available through the UTC Library: Health Reference Center – Academic Health and Wellness Resource Center

Extended Hours The Library is open longer hours than usual to give you more time to study. Many days we’re open until 2:00am! Find a complete listing of extended hours and Easter closings here.   Research Rescue This week, Librarians will be on-hand to help with last-minute research for your final projects. Dogs in the Library???

Anyone who’s ever had a family pet knows how calming it can be to sit with an animal. The Library wants to help bring that calm to you this finals-season, so we’re partnering with the UT College of Veterinary Medicine’s H.A.B.I.T. (Human-Animal Bond in Tennessee) program to bring in 2 therapy dogs, Maggie & Nash. UTC Students, Faculty and Staff are invited to meet Maggie & Nash on Thursday
