Dr. Bryan A. Hampton, UC Foundation Assistant Professor of English and Coordinator for the Humanities Program, will address approximately 560 graduates on Sunday, December 13, at 2 p.m. in McKenzie Arena.

Dr. Bryan A. Hampton
Hampton earned a B.A. in English at Montana State University, an M.A. in English from the University of Wyoming, an M.A. in Religious Studies from the Divinity School at the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. in English from Northwestern University.
In the English Department at UTC, Hampton’s research and teaching interests broadly focus on the cross-currents of religion and literature. He was honored with the Outstanding Teaching Award for the College of Arts and Sciences in 2007-2008, and most recently received the Outstanding Teaching Award from the University of Tennessee Alumni Association in 2009.
