University hosts award-winning author Janisse Ray

Award-winning author, naturalist, and activist Janisse Ray will give a talk on the UTC campus about heirloom seeds, agrodiversity and the future of food. The event is scheduled for Thursday, July 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the Raccoon Mountain Room of the UTC University Center.

Online portal created for First Year Reading Experience

The Postmortal, this year’s First Year Reading Experience (FYRE) selection, raises questions about the ethics and the consequences of a cure for aging. UTC’s FYRE committee created an online portal for students and the campus community.

Sigma Kappa at UTC wins prestigious national award

Sigma Kappa at UTC was recently recognized as one of two chapters in the nation to achieve the highest ranking on the sorority’s Standards of Excellence. UTC’s Theta Phi chapter was awarded three stars for the highest level of achievement in academic performance, leadership, enhancement, skill development, and a variety of other aspects.

Local high school students visit UTC TV Studio

Lights, camera, action! Local high school students got a chance to film their own mock talk show at the UTC TV Studio. The students are on campus as part of The University’s Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) initiative.
