College of Engineering and Computer Science receives contribution from BASF sponsors

Students and faculty from the College of Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga accepted a $3,000 donation from BASF employees, including $1,500 to support the university’s American Society of Civil Engineers’ (ASCE) student chapter competition team and $1,500 to support UTC’s Chem-E-Car competition team. “BASF is proud to play a role in enriching the lives of our future engineers,” said Robert Gagliano, BASF Chattanooga

UTC ranked among Best Online Criminal Justice Programs

UTC is among the top 30 Best Online Criminal Justice Programs: 2015 in a new ranking by Affordable Colleges Online. The UTC Online Degree Completion Program in Criminal Justice is offered to students who have a two-year degree or the equivalent and have completed 60 hours of college work.  This must include completion of introductory courses in criminal justice, sociology, and psychology, and completion of all general education requirements.

Higher education agreements with institution in China encourage collaboration

Two agreements established between The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Shanghai Institute of Technology will allow academic and collaborative opportunities for students and faculties across both campuses as well as a specific agreement for the UTC College of Engineering and Computer Science. “The goals of this endeavor were to grow the graduate school at UTC and increase the presence of international students,” said Dr. Randy Walker, Interim Dean

See the 2015 UTC Department of Art Juried Student Exhibition

Artist and educator Joshua Bienko selected 54 works from 151 entries for inclusion in the exhibition, which includes a wide range of media and materials: from charcoal on paper and oil on canvas to mixed media installations and sculpture, digital collage and websites, artist’s books, zines, photographs, and six moving image works.
