UTC makes national list for ‘Best Disability Friendly Colleges and Universities’

“We do many things above what is required because we are passionate about the work we do and we are so proud to have been included in this list. There are so many schools that do really tremendous work and it is nice to be recognized publicly.”

The UTC Center for Advisement has been selected as an Outstanding Institutional Advising Program Certificate of Merit recipient from The National Academic Advising Association (NACADA): The Global Community for Academic Advising as part of the 2016 Annual Awards Program for Academic Advising.

O’Dea receives national award from American College of Physicians

Dr Gregory O’Dea, Associate Dean of the Honors College and UC Foundation Professor of English at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, has been awarded The Nicholas E. Davies Memorial Scholar Award from the American College of Physicians.

Alp honored by Girls Inc. with UnBought and UnBossed Award

Dr. Neslihan Alp, P.E., Department Head of Engineering Management and Technology and the Director of Graduate Programs for the College of Engineering and Computer Science, was one of nine women honored at the 12th annual UnBought and UnBossed Awards ceremony on April 13.

Legends and Leaders Alumni Award Recipients

Davan Maharaj ’89 has been named recipient of the 2016 UTC Distinguished Alumnus Award, and Scott LeRoy ’79 has been named the Outstanding Service Award winner. Maharaj and LeRoy were honored May 6 when the UTC Alumni Board hosted its annual “Legends and Leaders” ceremony.
