Alumna and playwright attends prestigious conferences to hone craft

By Cheryl Toomey, University Relations Graduate Assistant “It can be difficult to find writing conferences that include playwriting because they usually focus on poetry or short story or things like that, so to get accepted to the two conferences I had my eye on was very exciting!” said Gaye Jeffers, Associate Professor of Theatre and UTC alumna. UTC Finance students complete internship that takes them from the stock market to the farm

Four UTC Finance students were selected to participate in a four-week summer internship with Galtere, Ltd., the commodities-focused hedge fund of Renée Haugerud. The experience took the students from the skyscrapers in New York City to a farm in Preston, Minnesota. UTC alumnus makes a SPLASH with art classes

Students in Charlie Newton’s art classes make a creative SPLASH with paint inside the old James A. Henry School in Chattanooga. Newton, a professional artist and UTC art alumnus, offers the free Young Artist Community Workshop to students who live in College Courts. Picnics celebrate service to University
