Alumna breaks Canadian marathon record

Lanni Marchant has put in a lot of miles since she graduated from UTC in 2007. The former student-athlete is now one of Canada’s top distance runners, recently breaking the Canadian women’s marathon record.

Alumna chosen for graduate fellowship

UTC Alumna Jillian Pennyman ’13 has been chosen for the Betty Jane Narver Policy Fellowship for 2013 – 2014. Pennyman received both a B.S. and M.Ed. in Secondary Education from UTC. She is pursuing the Master’s in Education Policy.

This year’s Homecoming theme: “Made in Chattanooga”

Taking a cue from Chattanooga’s storied manufacturing history, this year’s homecoming theme is “Made in Chattanooga.” Plenty of fun events for students, alumni, and the community are planned to lead up to the big game on Saturday, October 12, when the football Mocs take on the Furman Paladins at 6 p.m. at Finley Stadium.
