UTC alumna Lydia Flanders ‘06 was selected to introduce President Barrack Obama when he visited the Chattanooga Amazon facility on Tuesday, July 30.

Alumna selected as ambassador of the year

When Sarah Gardner graduated in May, she walked across the stage with great memories from her experience at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and her study abroad experience in Austria. Gardner was recently named an Ambassador of the Year for the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP).

Alumna wins national teaching award

UTC alumna Josalyn Tresvant ‘01, Special Education teacher at Knight Road Elementary in Memphis, Tennessee, was one of four teachers selected for the prestigious 2013 Fishman Prize for Superlative Classroom Practice. More than 570 educators applied for this national honor. She has received $25,000 and has begun a special summer residency with TNTP, the nonprofit organization that offers the award.
