Golfers Earn All-American Scholar Honor

Chattanooga Mocs women’s golfers Maria Juliana Loza (Bucaramanga, Colombia) and Mette Kryger (Nivaa, Denmark) earned National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar honors for 2011-12. The NGCA announced a total of 585 honorees from NCAA Division I, II and III.

Mocs tie program record for semester GPA

The student-athletes at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga tied a program record with a 2.97 departmental grade-point-average for the 2012 spring semester.  This is the fourth straight term the Mocs posted at least a 2.92 and the sixth consecutive semester more than half of the student-athletes made the Athletics Director’s Honor Roll with a 3.0 or higher GPA. Golf team wins at NCAA Bowling Green Regional

Senior Stephan Jaeger and the Chattanooga Mocs men’s golf team swept the individual and team crowns at the NCAA Bowling Green Regional Saturday. It’s the first NCAA postseason golf titles in school history. Read more here.

Mocs induct six into Athletics Hall of Fame

Mike Hunt (Football), Brent Johnson (Football), Wes Moore (Men’s Basketball), Jon Sioredas (Wrestling), Alice Tym (Women’s Tennis) and Shannon Womack Robbins (Cross Country/Track and Field) comprise the six members of the Class of 2011 inducted into the UTC Athletics Hall of Fame.
