Writing and Communication Center moves to the UTC Library

The new Writing and Communication Center is a place for “writers helping writers” no matter their ability levels. The Writing and Communication Center helps UTC faculty, staff, and especially students, both undergrads and graduate students, with all aspects of the writing process.

Jean Dake earns lifetime award from TACE

Jean Dake received the Lifetime Membership Award by the Tennessee Association of Colleges and Employers (TACE) in April 2015 in Nashville, Tennessee. Jeff Kell honored for distinguished service

Jeff Kell was selected by The Tennessee Higher Education Information Technology Symposium as the recipient of its 2015 Distinguished Service Award.  Kell is the Director of Network Services for The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga The Distinguished Service Award was presented at the THEITS 44th meeting in Chattanooga.  The annual award is presented to the Information Technology Professional who demonstrates exceptional service and achievement to Higher Education Information Technology

Chattanooga Mocs Softball concludes 2015 season

Congratulations to the Chattanooga Mocs Softball team!  UTC won the Southern Conference Tournament and advanced to regionals for the second consecutive year. The season ended with an 8-2 loss to the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles.   Head coach Frank Reed says the loss is not indicative of the way the team normally plays.

Mother and daughter graduate from UTC in May commencement

Krystal and Heather Johnson each have a story of taking extra time to decide on a major, and both were happy to graduate together from UTC on May 2.   Thanks to Krystal and Heather for sharing their experiences.
