Construction update

We celebrated the beginning of the 2013-14 academic year with two newly completed construction projects, the pedestrian mall in the heart of campus and the Metro Building, with its beautiful new exterior and new inside spaces for the Department of Health and Human Performance and the UTC television studio.  The School of Nursing is also housed in Metro.  What’s next? Former Interim Chancellor Grady Bogue honored at Blue and Gold Memorial

For a man whose favorite meal of the day was breakfast, it seems fitting that the tree planted on campus in honor of former interim chancellor Dr. Grady Bogue has a great view of the sunrise over Lookout Mountain. The dedication of the tree took place at this year’s Blue and Gold Memorial Service.

Executive order establishes Mayor’s Task Force to end chronic veterans’ homelessness

Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke and City Council Chairman Chip Henderson came to campus to meet with members of the UTC Student Veterans Organization and UTC faculty members who served in the military to discuss the issues veterans face during service and upon their return home.

Student park dedicated

A fountain is bubbling and new tables and chairs invite visitors to hang out at the Student Government Association Student Park, newly dedicated in honor of Dr. Roger Brown, chancellor emeritus, and his late wife, Dr. Carolyn Thompson.
