UTC students, faculty, staff can contribute to Sequoya Review

Is one of the items on your bucket list to become a published writer or artist? UTC undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff have that opportunity—submit original creative work to the Sequoya Review Literary Arts Magazine. Deadline for submissions for the 2015 edition is September 30, 2014.  Submissions received after the deadline will be included into the submission process for the next annual issue of the Sequoya Review.

Nobel Laureate Thomas J. Sargent to speak at UTC October 6

Nobel laureate Thomas J. Sargent will speak in the Burkett Miller Distinguished Lecture Series Monday, October 6, at noon in the UTC University Center Auditorium.  Dr. Thomas J. Sargent will discuss “Lessons from the Fiscal History of the United States.” Sponsored by the Scott L. Probasco, Jr. Chair of Free Enterprise, this event is free and open to the public.  Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Dr. Bryan Hampton and Dr. Chris Stuart honored with model ship dedication

Dr. Bryan Hampton and Dr. Christopher Stuart were recently honored with the dedication of model ships created by Frank Hill, a longtime lover of UTC. Hill has been associated with the University for forty seven years; thirty five years as an adjunct professor and twelve years as a student, auditing classes primarily in the humanities.

University Relations marketing projects earn multiple awards in statewide competition

The UTC University Relations Office was recognized with seven awards in the 2013 Tennessee College Public Relations Association Awards.
