Chemistry faculty and students provide flood relief

Chemistry department faculty and summer undergraduate research students at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga collected clothes for flood relief in Nashville.  Desiree Benefield, a graduate student at Vanderbilt and a 2009 graduate of UTC’s Chemistry Department, will take the supplies to a shelter in Nashville.

Pearson named UTC Distinguised Alumnus

The University’s newest Distinguished Alumnus wanted to become a police officer when he was a boy.   J. Legends and Leaders honored

J. Michael Pearson ’77,’79, was named UTC Distinguished Alumnus for his accomplishments and career achievements and Gordon Davenport, Jr., received the Outstanding Service Award for significant contributions to the community and society at the 2010 Legends and Leaders Awards Banquet.
