‘Tis the season for receiving gifts and giving back, and the UTC School of Nursing did both by providing foot care to Chattanooga’s homeless population and giving the gifts of much needed clothing and personal hygiene products to some of Chattanooga’s most vulnerable populations.
A special group of nursing students gave thanks a little early this year and volunteered to staff the annual turkey drive in support of the Chattanooga Community Kitchen.
The UTC School of Nursing can add another accomplishment on their growing list of achievements this year. The school now has a 100% first time pass rate on the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Certification Exam.
The night the tornado passed through Chattanooga and surrounding areas, UTC student Jim Boyle was standing outside his house about twenty minutes from Ringgold, Georgia. After he watched a small funnel cloud pass by his neighborhood, he went inside to get ready for the next day’s classes.
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) School of Nursing was awarded the Chattanooga Community Kitchen (CCK) Group Award for outstanding service in 2010-2011.
