Dr. Preston Foerder, visiting assistant professor in The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Department of Psychology, will present his research on “Insightful Problem Solving in Asian Elephants” on Tuesday, November 13, from 2-3 p.m. in the Signal Mountain Room of the UTC University Center.
Mae Kile and Sara Terlecki, UTC graduate students, both received this year’s Sigma Xi Outstanding Research Award. Sigma Xi is the honor society of research scientists and engineers. UTC student Carolyn Hoagland, selected as a Volkswagen Distinguished Scholar to work at Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, will present her research at the 2010 Annual Meeting and International Research Conference of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society. This event will be held November 11-14 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
