Mocs participate in mock presidential debate

Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce’s Downtown Council hosted a UTC mock presidential debate. Communications Department Fellow in Residence and former CNN White House Correspondent Dan Lothian provided critiques and insights to the students turned presidential hopefuls after their public performance.

Student athletes set academic school record

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga had 35 student-athletes named to the 2010 Fall Academic All-Southern Conference Team.  The squad consisted of representatives from football, volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer and men’s and women’s cross country.  [Read more]

UTC student crowned Miss Chattanooga

UTC junior Chandler Lawson was recently selected Miss Chattanooga 2011. Lawson, a political science major who works at law firm Chambliss, Bahner and Stophel, won the interview award. The Tullahoma native, who was Tennessee’s Junior Miss 2008, will make her second trip to the Miss Tennessee Pageant in June 2011.  The pageant will be held in Jackson. In 2009, Lawson finished in the top 10 as Miss Scenic City.
