Reflecting, Re-envisioning, Renewing: Women’s Studies After 45 Years. Join UTC’s Women’s Studies department in celebrating Women’s History Month with a series of talks every Monday night for the month of February.
The Women’s Studies program will be hosting be several presentations this week and next as part of UTC’s observance of Women’s History Month. All events are free and open to the public.
The Women’s Studies Department has awarded two students who have achieved academic excellence in the major the new Felicia Sturzer Scholarship. Students with an overall GPA of 3.0 and a 3.5 GPA in Women’s Studies who have taken at least 15 hours of Women’s Studies courses are be eligible.
Dr. Jacqueline Jones Royster will present her lecture, “Voices of Nation: Women Claiming the Power to Choose” on Wednesday, March 27 at 2 p.m. in the Chattanooga Room of the UTC University Center. Royster will speak on the subject of Civil War women and nation building.
