On March 19th at noon, WUTC FM-88.1, the public radio voice of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, will begin its non-stop broadcasting of WUTC-HD 2. This new service will provide listeners with two five- day- a- week National Public Radio news magazines not currently on the air in the Chattanooga market.

WUTC FM-88.1 reached its fall membership drive and netted $140,549 towards funding the radio station’s programming costs. The public radio station licensed to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is the region’s source for programming from National Public Radio, including awarding winning programs like “Morning Edition,” “All Things Considered,” and “Car Talk.”
During the successful WUTC-FM spring membership drive, the public radio station licensed to The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga announced its next generation of upgrades. In the coming year, the WUTC audience will have the chance to hear digital WUTC broadcasts with added broadcast power.
Two UTC faculty and staff members recently receive external funding. Sandy Cole, Director of the Center for Community Career Education (CCCE), received $3,000 from the Hamilton County Department of Education to continue a mentoring program for area students.
