During the activity, the patient grasps the ends of the collar with her fingers. The patient must remain stabilized in chair while reaching forward with both upper extremities to place the collar around the dog’s neck. The patient must coordinate both hands to snap the buckle.
Patient bends from standing to use two hands to grasp water and food bowls from floor. The patient then ambulates ten feet to retrieve water from a faucet and a large scoop of dry food from an open bag. The patient ambulates back to bend from standing and replace bowls on floor.
Patient stands with assist as needed and grasps treats with a reacher tool or their hands on one side and rotates to bring the treat down to the dog on the opposite side of their body.
