Spot the myth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minecraft and Maslow could never coexist.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can\u2019t teach motivation through an AI voiceover for a dog.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>TikTok doesn\u2019t belong in a classroom.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Consider all these myths busted, thanks to students in the Management 3300 course at the Gary W. Rollins College of Business at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students in Professor John McKinney\u2019s Organizational Behavior management class made management concepts relevant when they created TikTok videos to explain what they learned throughout the semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLearning needs to be fun,\u201d said Professor McKinney. \u201cThis assignment gave the students an opportunity to connect the classroom to something they enjoy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senior Management student Kelsey Vandenbossche took it to the next level when she used her dog, Romeo, to explain motivation in the workplace. She explained how rewards and recognition increase morale and, therefore, motivation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe assignment really made me stop and think back on everything we learned this semester,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was a great review of the different management concepts and seeing Romeo beside me while I was brainstorming inspired me to use him as a real-life example of motivation in a fun and relatable way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-9-16 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Romeo Motivation at Work _ MGT 3300_Kelsey V\" width=\"563\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/aFxB2QoljYg?rel=0&#038;modestbranding=1&#038;autohide=1&#038;showinfo=0&#038;controls=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Another student used references from \u201cThe Office\u201d to show how important communication is in the workplace.
