Kylie Sanders didn’t plan on working in retail, but when the Chattanooga Lookouts opened a brand-new stadium, she saw an opportunity and she went after it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kylie graduated from Gary W. Rollins College of Business with a degree in marketing and landed an internship as a merchandise assistant with the Chattanooga Lookouts. It’s a role that’s part retail operations, part logistics, part game-day management and entirely hers to own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I didn’t even think I would work in retail. I’d never thought about that before,” she says. “But it’s been so cool and so fun.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It wasn’t just passion that got her there. It was preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Franklin’s retailing course was what pushed her to apply. The coursework went beyond teaching concepts, it made the industry feel real and worth pursuing. When she heard about the new stadium opening, she connected the dots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The right class, at the right time, can open a door you didn’t even know you were looking for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On gamedays, Kylie is restocking shelves, managing inventory and making sure everything is set for fans. During games, she oversees game-day employees at the registers and manages merchandise across multiple kiosks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On off days, she’s fulfilling online orders. The new stadium brought a wave of demand, and she’s been shipping it out, one order at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s hands-on. It’s fast. It’s exactly the kind of internship that builds real-world experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
