Campus Update

I want to congratulate Dr. Bryan Johnson, who was recently named the sole finalist for superintendent of the Atlanta Public Schools.  The Atlanta Public Schools Board of Education will vote on his nomination on July 8^th.  We anticipate he will be named superintendent and transition to Atlanta in late July or early August.

Bryan is leading several important areas for UTC, including serving as the point person for the Center for Excellence in Teacher Education, leading the development of our 2025-2030 Strategic Plan, serving as the leader for Marketing and Communications and managing the day-to-day operations of the Chancellor’s Office.

Please know that we will be prepared to staff the areas in Bryan’s portfolio, but any action prior to July 8^th would be premature.  We will communicate to the campus and community our next steps at the appropriate time.
