- If you’re going to be connecting to the lab computer from off campus, make sure you have installed the VPN client (GlobalProtect) and connected the VPN to campus.

- Go to UTC’s Remote Computer Access web page and sign in with your UTC ID and password.

- Select the lab you wish to use on the left side of the web page.
- Select Connect by the computer at the top of the list.
- Select Download.
- Make sure “Open with” and “Remote Desktop Connection (default)” are selected on the Opening window.
- Select OK.
- Select Connect on the Remote Desktop Connection window.
- Select “More choices” on the Windows Security window.
- Select “Use a different account”.
- Enter “cha\abc123” (replace abc123 with your UTCID) in the “User name” field.
- Enter your UTC password in the “Password” field.
- Select OK.
- Select Yes on the Remote Desktop Connection window.
- You should connect and be logged in to the lab computer.
- If the connection fails, verify your username and password, and try the connection again.
- After 15 minutes of inactivity with the remote computer, you will automatically be logged out.
