Project Management

Service Description:  The IT Project Management Office works to support the strategic goals of the university and Office of Information Technology by developing and implementing an effective project management framework.  Primary duties include defining standards and processes, managing tools and templates, providing estimates for technology for campus construction projects and tracking overall project status across the IT organization.

Project management can be used for

  • construction projects
  • software implementations
  • department projects that may need formal PM experience.
Aliases: project consulting, technology consulting
Audience:  Departmental and administrative staff who identify a need for a project and require project management assistance.

Availability

Service Levels:  Support is available during normal UTC business hours.
Service Requirements:  A Project Request must be completed by the requesting Faculty/Staff member (this can be done over a meeting with an IT Project Manager). Once submitted, the request will be prioritized in relation to other IT projects and reviewed to determine necessary resources and an estimated start date. The requestor will then be contacted to discuss next steps.
