Steve Angle recommended to be Chancellor of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga

Steve Angle, senior vice president at Wright State University, will be recommended by UT System President Joe DiPietro for election by the UT Board of Trustees as the next chancellor of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

It’s time to Get In The Game and support Bloodanooga!

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is asking everyone to Get In The Game and become part of Be The Match Registry, the cell registry that pairs potential donors with patients suffering from blood cancers.  At the same time, there will be an opportunity to participate in Bloodanooga, a community-wide blood drive.

McClay, Ellington earn local Freedoms Foundation award

Dr. Wilfred McClay and Dr. Lucien Ellington received the 2013 Distinguished Teacher/Educator Award from the Chattanooga Chapter of the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge.

New Special Collections exhibit showcases world art, literature

The Lupton Library isn’t just filled with books. The Special Collections also houses paintings, sculptures, and artifacts, some which are on display in its newest exhibit, “Distant Sands and Faraway Lands: Art, Books and Artifacts from Around the World.” Pottery from Ecuador, art from Japan and China, books from England, Italy, and the Netherlands, and documents and art from England and Germany are featured.

Physical therapy professor to receive national honor

Dr. Debbie Ingram will be honored on June 27th at the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Conference 2013 in Salt Lake City.  She will be named a Catherine Worthingham Fellow (FAPTA), “the highest honor among the American Physical Therapy Association’s membership categories.”
