UTC just became more affordable with the new GOLD Scholar Program. Incoming Freshmen can now attend the University at in-state tuition cost, saving out-of-state students thousands.
“I’m very excited about the opportunity to expand our reach and to recruit academically talented students both regionally and nationally. If a student lives outside of Tennessee but wants to take advantage of the outstanding educational opportunities here, this scholarship makes that a possibility. Out of state students who are exploring options for a four year college experience now have a much stronger incentive to give UTC a closer look,” said Lee Pierce, Director, Undergraduate Admissions.
Beginning Fall of 2016, first-time Freshmen applicants can take advantage of the GOLD scholarship program for affordable access to UTC’s outstanding opportunities.
Two levels of scholarships provide in-state affordability to students across state lines. The first level allows a 100% out-of-state fee waiver, saving students $16,000 a year. The second level cuts out-of-state fees by 75% and saves students $12,000 a year. To be eligible, students must complete their admissions files by June 1, 2016.
Program awards and levels are determined by GPA and ACT scores. Visit the GOLD Scholar website for more information.
