246th-Commencement-06The Library invites Campus and community members to an exhibit opening with UTC Chattanooga alumnus Dennis Haskins, best known for his role of Mr. Belding in Saved by the Bell. The opening will feature remarks and a question and answer session with Haskins on  Monday, April 4, at 4:30 P.M. in the Southern Writers Room, 4th floor, Library. This event will include light refreshments and is free and open to the public.

HaskinsDennis-Alumni_02“It was so hard for me to let go of these scripts because these are my scripts; my notes that I made for each episode–walk down this hallway, turn here, this is the emotion here–and every script turned into an episode,” explains Haskins in the interview below.

Haskins donated his personal working script collection from every episode of the beloved sitcom. Highlights from the scripts, along with memorabilia from Haskin’s personal collection will be on display in the Library’s Andrew C. Roth Grand Reading Room.

For more information about the event and a few words from Haskins himself, check out the Library’s online announcement here.
