Are you ready to quit smoking but need a little help? You’re in luck.

Starting next week, the Freshstart cessation program from the American Cancer Society will be on campus. Led by certified trainers, the program provides essential cessation information, ideas for coping with cravings and is designed to help smokers plan a successful quit attempt.

Classes begin Tuesday, March 4, and will meet every Tuesday from 11 a.m. until noon for four weeks. A boxed lunch will be available for participants. These classes are open to faculty and staff only, but afternoon Freshstart classes for students will begin the week after spring break.

To be part of Freshstart, you must register in advance and plan to attend all classes. The deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, March 1. For more information or to register, email
