All Mocs Express buses are ADA accessible.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Brandon Meredith, CARTA\u2019s director of communications and external relations and a parent of a recent UTC graduate, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">acknowledged that students often overlook the service<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cWhen my daughter started at UTC, she had a bus stop right in front of her house,\u201d Meredith said. \u201cI asked her, \u2018Do you ever take the bus?\u2019 She said she had no idea the bus even went there.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">For the 2026-27 academic year, the Mocs Express operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The updated weekday route has fewer stops and a faster route through campus, allowing students to get to their destinations more quickly while maintaining access to key campus destinations.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The changes also make the Mocs Express a convenient option for students looking for parking. The route serves <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/explore.utc.edu\/?id=1826#!m\/562445?share\"><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Lot 45<\/span><\/b><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">, near Engel Stadium, and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/explore.utc.edu\/?id=1826#!m\/970181?share\"><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Lot 70<\/span><\/b><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">, giving students the option to park and take the shuttle to other areas of campus rather than searching for a closer space.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">On Fridays from 6 p.m. to midnight, the Mocs Express operates a special Friday Evening Route that provides students with transportation to dining, shopping and entertainment areas beyond campus.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The route connects campus to Main Street, Central Avenue, Broad Street and other areas, providing transportation to destinations such as Food City, Warehouse Row, STIR, Niedlov\u2019s Bakery and Southside Pizza.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Meredith encouraged students who have never used public transportation to give the Mocs Express a try. All CARTA buses are free for UTC students with a Mocs ID, giving students another way to travel beyond campus.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201cThe good thing about UTC is its location in proximity to our routes,\u201d Meredith said. \u201cUTC students are within walking distance from most of our main routes.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">CARTA\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gocarta.org\/routes-schedules\/rt-4-eastgate-hamilton-place\/\"><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Route 4<\/span><\/b><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">, for example, stops along McCallie Avenue near campus and connects riders to downtown Chattanooga near the Tennessee Aquarium.
