As we approach the end of the semester, we want to take a moment to thank those who joined us for Fall Family Weekend! It was wonderful to see so many families celebrating campus life, engaging in our events, and making memories with their students. Your enthusiasm and support for this program was incredible and we look forward to the next time families join us on campus!
For those that registered for the weekend, we ask you provide some feedback! This will help us improve the program and continue providing memorable experiences for you and your student on campus. The survey is short and your time is appreciated! Take the survey here!
With the semester’s end now in sight, many students may be feeling the weight of final projects, exams, and the overall pressures that comes with their academic workload. This period can be both exciting and stressful, as students work hard to reach the end of the semester while balancing their well-being. That’s where your support can make a tremendous difference.
As parents and family members, you’re often the first place students turn to for support. A simple text or call, asking how they’re doing, can help them feel grounded and supported. Encourage your student to make a self-care plan, reminding them of small but important ways to manage stress, such as getting enough sleep, exercising, taking breaks, or even practicing mindfulness. Preparing a care package with their favorite snacks or encouraging them to connect with friends can also provide comfort during this time.
UTC offers a range of resources to help students de-stress. Great examples are Wellness Week coming up November 11-16 (more information below) and the variety of campus activities found on MocSync. Sometimes, just knowing there are fun, relaxing options available can be the boost your student needs to make it to the finish line.
Thank you again for being an invaluable part of your student’s academic journey and of our UTC family.
