The UTC campus remains under a Winter Storm Warning until Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 7:00 AM EST. Snow, sleet, and rain are expected to continue throughout the afternoon and evening. Some precipitation is possible overnight.
Update to Modified Campus Operations
Below are changes to the previously announced modified campus operations. Further changes may occur dependent on weather conditions. Students who need additional assistance, including access to dining facilities, should contact the UTC Police Department at (423) 425-4357.
- Friday, January 10, 2025
- Mocs Dining (Aramark) will operate using the following schedule:
- Main Campus
- Crossroads Dining Hall: Will close at 7:30 PM. Grab snack bags from 3:30 PM – 7:30 PM.
- South Campus
- Subway: Closing at 7:30 PM.
- South Campus POD: Closing at 7:30 PM.
- West Campus
- Chef Express: Closing at 5:00 PM.
- West Campus POD: Closing at 7:30 PM.
- Mocs Express (Campus Shuttle) and other CARTA buses have SUSPENDED all operations.
- UTC Bookstore is CLOSED.
- Saturday, January 11, 2025
- Athletics reports that Men’s Basketball vs. Virginia Military Institute (VMI) remains scheduled for at 2:00 PM in McKenzie Arena. Check GoMocs.com and @gomocs on social media for updates.

- South Campus
- Subway: Open from 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
- South Campus POD: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
- West Campus
- Chef Express: CLOSED
- West Campus POD: Open from 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
- Campus Recreation
- Aquatic and Recreation Center (ARC) will be OPEN from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM. The pool will be closed.
- Sports Complex will be CLOSED.
- Mail Services will be CLOSED per their normal schedule.
- Mocs Express (Campus Shuttle) and other CARTA buses will operate on their normal routes and schedule, dependent on road conditions.
- University Center will be CLOSED.
- UTC Bookstore will be CLOSED.
- UTC Library will be CLOSED.
- All events scheduled to take place are CANCELLED. Organizers will communicate if these events are to be rescheduled and, if so, on what dates and times.

- Office of the Registrar reminds students that the deadline to add classes is Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 11:59 PM.
