Dr. Feng Bao (Mathematics) has received $54,862 from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory for the project entitled, “ORNL_SciDAC.”

Mr. Andrew Carroll and Mr. Charles Mix (Vice Chancellor for Research) have received $10,000 from the Lyndhurst Foundation for the project entitled, “GreenSpaces Mapping Support.”

Dr. Lucien Ellington and Mr. Jeffrey Melnik (School of Education) have received $81,192 from the Association for Asian Studies, Inc. for the project entitled, “Education About Asia Journal 2018.”

Ms. Catherine Kendall (Interior Design) has received $3,500 from the Tennessee Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners for the project entitled, “Professional Student Exam Fees and Computer Grant F2017.”

Dr. Deborah McAllister (School of Education) has received $33,861 from Vanderbilt University for the project entitled, “NASA Mathematics Resources and Super Source Activities for Elementary Grades Preservice Teachers.”

Dr. Renee Murley (School of Education) has received $60,571 from the Tennessee Department of Education for the project entitled, “Governor’s School 2017-18.”

Dr. Anthony Skjellum (SimCenter) has received $195,388 from the National Science Foundation for the project entitled, “CICI: Data Provenance: Collaborative Research: Provenance AssuranceUsing Currency Primitives.”

Dr. Anthony Skjellum (SimCenter) has received $196,860 from the National Science Foundation for the project entitled, “SHF: Medium: Collaborative Research: Next-Generation Message Passing for Parallel Programming: Resiliency, Time-to-Solution, Performance-Portability, Scalability, and QoS.”

Dr. Jin Wang (Mathematics) has received $30,157 from the Old Dominion Research Foundation for the project entitled, “Mathematical modeling of cholera dynamics.”

Dr. Robert Webster, Dr. Craig Tanis, Dr. Kidambi Sreenivas, and Dr. James Newman (SimCenter) have received $59,569 from Engility Corporation for the project entitled, “Heterogeneous HPC for High-order Stabilized Finite-elements on Moving and Deforming Domains.”

Dr. Weidong Wu (Civil & Chemical Engineering) has received $28,190 from the Tennessee Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners for the project entitled, “TBAEE Laboratory Equipment Grant for Civil Engineering.”

Ms. Laurie Melnik, Ms. Michele Mummert, Dr. Joel Baxley (Southeast Center for Education), and Dr. Lee Harris (Music) have requested $10,000 from the Tennessee Arts Commission for the project entitled, “Arts Learning Lab.”

Dr. Vahid Rasouli Disfani, Dr. Abdul Ofoli, Dr. Raga Ahmed, Dr. Ahmed Eltom, and Dr. Abdelrahman Mohammed (Electrical Engineering) have requested $1,681,637 from the US Department of Energy for the project entitled, “High-Efficiency, High-Reliability Grid Integration of Solar Photovoltaic Systems via Bidirectional Modular Multilevel Converters with Simultaneous Maximum Power Point Tracking and Power Flow Control Capabilities.”

Dr. Takeo Suzuki (International Education), Dr. Robert Dooley (Academic Affairs), and Dr. Valerie Rutledge (College of Health, Education and Professional Studies) have requested $199,858 from FHI 360 for the project entitled, “2018 Study of the U.S. Institutes for Student Leaders on Women’s Leadership.”

Dr. Endong Wang (Engineering Management & Technology) has requested $282,560 from the National Science Foundation for the project entitled, “A Novel Core-factor-structure Based Object-oriented Hierarchical Benchmarking Method for Deep Commercial Building Energy Retrofitting.”

Dr. Li Yang, Dr. Lu Yiang, and Dr. Dalei Wu (Computer Science & Engineering) have requested $524,205 from the University of Vermont for the project entitled, “A Fast, Reliable and Secure User Interface to Train and Equip Firefighters with Augmented Reality.”
