It is once again time for us to check in and see how you’re doing, how we can support you and your peers, and what students need to be successful at UT. Additionally, the UT Board of Trustees will continue to review this information to guide future decisions, policy development, and possible resource allocation.

Apply to pitch your business idea at Hatch It!
All great businesses start with just an idea. Maybe you have one you’d like to pursue? Hatch It! Mocs Big Business Idea Competition is our fall pitch competition where a good idea can earn you some cash and start-up resources to get your business going. This year, we will have two tracks and the winners of each track will win $1500 and be eligible to compete in the SOCON Challenge pitch competition to be held at Mercer University in 2023. We’re looking for all sorts of new venture ideas from across UTC. Students in any major at either the undergraduate or graduate level are welcome to apply. You don’t have to have all the details worked out, but you do need to prove that there is a market for your product or service, and that you are the right team to move this new venture forward. Applicants must be in a team of between 2 and 4 members. Click HERE to apply.

Networking Creatively Featuring Briana Garza Co-Founder of Chatt Taste Food Tours Join us for lunch to hear Briana discuss creative ways to build your network. After losing her job of 10 years due to COVID -19, Briana decided to take a chance on herself. The proud mother of a 5th Grader, she is also a disability advocate, gardener, and of course a foodie. The daughter of a US Army Veteran, she spent her early years traveling base to base country to country solidifying her passion for exploration. Chatt Taste takes Briana’s skill set from her previous job and a passion for people and combines them into an eloquently curated experience. Click HERE to register.
