Open Call – Sexual Assault Awareness Month Art & Poetry:
The Center for Women and Gender Equity and Center for Wellbeing are distributing a Zine for Sexual Assault Awareness Month displaying survivors’ artwork related to their healing journey. Submissions can be visual art, songs, poems, and short stories and can be sent to Emily-Rosenquist@utc.edu or dropped off in Lupton Hall 118. The deadline to submit is 3/1/2023. Free Physical Therapy Services for faculty and students:
The Department of Physical Therapy offers UTC students, faculty, and staff free physical therapy services in the Pro Bono Student Faculty Physical Therapy Clinic. Call University Health (423-425-2266) to schedule your appointment today. Please email ptclinic@utc.edu for more information. Our clinic is currently located in the Mapp Building (410 E 8th Street, Chattanooga, TN). Hours are listed below: Tuesdays 8:00am – 12:00pm Thursdays 1:00pm – 5:00pm
Probasco Spring Reading Group – Economics, Democracy, and Voting:
We will be discussing Dr. Bryan Caplan’s book, “The Myth of the Rational Voter”, along with other important articles in economics, political science, and philosophy. Open to the entire university community. The first meeting will be held the week of February 6th. Participants will receive a free copy of “The Myth of the Rational Voter”, as well as food at every meeting. The Beyond the Classroom Challenge:
The Beyond the Classroom Challenge is a way for students to jump into a broad variety of FREE campus and community events, learning more about UTC, Chattanooga, and themselves—all based on their own schedules and interests. Click HERE to read more and sign up by FRIDAY FEBRUARY 3. Participants must sign up each semester to be eligible for that semester’s awards.
