Apply to pitch your business idea at Hatch It!
All great businesses start with just an idea. Maybe you have one you’d like to pursue? Hatch It! Mocs Big Business Idea Competition is our fall pitch competition where a good idea can earn you some cash and start-up resources to get your business going. This year, we will have two tracks and the winners of each track will win $1500 and be eligible to compete in the SOCON Challenge pitch competition to be held at Mercer University in 2023. We’re looking for all sorts of new venture ideas from across UTC. Students in any major at either the undergraduate or graduate level are welcome to apply. You don’t have to have all the details worked out, but you do need to prove that there is a market for your product or service, and that you are the right team to move this new venture forward. Beyond the Classroom Challenge – Sign Up by 9/20
Sign up for the Beyond the Classroom Challenge for Fall 2022 by tomorrow September 20th! Do you remember playing WORD Games at orientation and filling out a reflection card? That event counts toward the Beyond the Classroom Challenge along with events on this email flagged with the ‘^’ symbol at the end. Students who complete the BTC challenge by attending 10 events and filling out 10 reflection cards earn priority registration, an award signed by our Chancellor, and a celebratory lunch.
