We are making great headway in our push to refresh the website in preparation for the Drupal migration later this year.
Sarah Joyner, Michael Z. Miller and Chèrie Whipple meet weekly with department leadership and web editors to review current pages and discuss changes to be made to bring content up to date.
To put progress in numerical terms, we are about a third of the way through our student-facing pages. As you may remember, our emphasis for the refresh is to focus on the recruitment and retention of students. While we’ll eventually touch all areas of the University and our collective web presence, we have marched to a single mantra: what pages and sites specifically attract, engage and contribute to student success? The table below lists the departments who have been through the process so far:
|Department||# of Pages Refreshed|
|Financial Aid and Scholarships||78|
|Housing and Residence Life||98|
|Mocs One Center||12|
|Center for Advisement||26|
|Center for Global Education landing page||1|
|International Student and Scholar Services||26|
|English as a Second Language Institute||46|
|Veteran Student Services||39|
|Honors College and National Scholarships||36|
|New Student and Family Programs||14|
|Advisors’ Council and Advisement About page||29|
|University Career Services||55|
|Dean of Students and subsites||55|
|Disability Resource Center and MOSAIC||59|
And the month isn’t over. By the time we finish with Information Technology and Walker Center for Teaching and Learning in February, we will be well over the 1,000-page mark! Cause for celebration and just in time for Mardi Gras on March 5. Laissez les bons temps rouler!
