Packed house for ‘Innovation Exchange Between Campus and Community’
Organized and hosted by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, the inaugural AI Conversations panel program was a near-standing room only event. Panelists were experts from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and local industry leaders already making use of AI in a variety of settings.
Panelists included Jake Cook of Chattanooga-based Textla software company; VW Group of America Vice President of Engineering Wolfgang Maluche; city of Chattanooga Administrator of Innovation Delivery and Performance Tim Moreland; Erlanger Health System Chief Information Security Officer Jim Parcel; and UTC professor and chair of the Department of Computer Science Hong Qin.
EPB Senior Director of Procurement Ken Jones was panel moderator, and UTC CIO Vicki Farnsworth shared an update on the University’s Artificial Intelligence Initiative.
AI Conversations is part of an ongoing series hosted by the UTC Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship as forums for exchanging knowledge and ideas; and to foster collaboration, networking and sharing knowledge between academia and industry. Each event focuses on a different technology toward building a platform to showcase research and innovations emerging from UTC and learning more about the interests and needs of the region’s industries.
Many thanks to the UTC Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship for ensuring a successful forum.
Thanks also to our guests who stopped by for a CH-AI “paparazzi shot,” and thanks to the engaged, involved Chattanooga community for your partnership in innovation.
