Described by organizers as “an innovation exchange between campus and community,” AI Conversations is a free panel program with lunch featuring artificial intelligence experts from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and local industry leaders making use of AI in a variety of settings.
The campus community and the public are welcome to attend the event, which takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, at the UTC Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the James Mapp Building on campus.
Panelists include Luke Brickman, co-founder of Chattanooga-based Textla software company; VW Group of America Vice President of Engineering Wolfgang Maluche; city of Chattanooga Administrator of Innovation Delivery and Performance Tim Moreland; Erlanger Health System Chief Information Security Officer Jim Parcel; and UTC Professor of Computer Science Hong Qin.
EPB Senior Director of Procurement Ken Jones is panel moderator.
The panel will describe how their organizations are using artificial intelligence, AI skill sets they see as crucial for the workforce, needs and opportunities for the community and at UTC, and more.
The program is one of an ongoing series hosted by the UTC Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship intended to serve as forums for exchanging knowledge, ideas and innovations; and to foster collaboration, networking and knowledge exchange between academia and industry. Each event focuses on a different technology, toward building a platform for showcasing research and innovations emerging from UTC and learning more about the interests and needs of the region’s industries.
