Sent on behalf of Ms. Vicki Farnsworth, Interim Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration:
Campus colleagues –
The Finance and Administration Division continues to share policy updates and reminders with the campus community on a monthly basis. The information is intended to serve as a quick refresh for departments as they navigate various fiscal and human resource policies. For a complete list of policies, please visit the UT Policy webpage. Should you have any questions navigating policies or need help with something else, please do not hesitate to reach out to any Finance and Administration Division team member for assistance.
Emergency Services
One of the hallmarks of a campus with a positive safety culture is collegial communication. To better connect with you, we have updated UTC’s Safety and Risk Management website (utc.edu/safety) to include easy access for reporting an unsafe condition and to find the steps for reporting an injury. You may complete the unsafe condition form anonymously. These processes are integral to fulfilling the expectations within UT System-wide policies SA0600 – Reporting Safety and Health Concerns and SA0700 – Safety and Environmental Health Responsibilities..
We encourage you and your colleagues to be familiar with these two specific policies, and the other safety policies applicable to your campus operations, which can be found at https://policy.tennessee.edu/ut-system-policies/health-safety-risk-management-policies/. Our collective commitment to a safe campus is written within the UT System Code of Conduct, which is linked at the bottom of the Safety and Risk Management website.
Safety and Risk Management’s team of professionals respond to every situation with respect to our shared UTC values, care for sensitive topics, and diligence to find a solution that fulfills the mission of UTC. You can reach us anytime at safety@utc.edu or our office phone x5741.
