Fall 2022 Commencement – Faculty Announcement

Greetings faculty colleagues,

UTC is excited to host Fall 2022 Commencement ceremonies to celebrate graduates’ achievements. McKenzie Arena is undergoing construction which limits attendance capacity. In order to accommodate guests while remaining compliant with Fire Marshal constraints, we will be conducting multiple ceremonies and requiring tickets for entry.

I’d like to invite you to participate in these ceremonies as you are able. Faculty seating will be available on the arena floor as was the case pre-pandemic. Every person entering the arena will be required to present a valid ticket. Due to space limitations, it is vital for us to have an accurate account of the faculty that will be participating. We ask that if you would like to attend any ceremony, please use this link to sign up for the commencement ceremony(ies) in which you would like to participate. This will permit us to plan accordingly for seating. If you sign up to attend a ceremony, please make every effort to attend. Since capacity is limited, there is a finite number of tickets that we are trying to allocate as efficiently as possible.

For your reference, below are the dates and times for the upcoming ceremonies:

Friday, December 16

• 2:30pm-Graduate School

Saturday, December 17

• 9:00am-College of Arts &Sciences and College of Engineering & Computer Science
• 1:00pm-Rollins College of Business and College of Health, Education & Professionals Studies

Note: this invitation is to attend a ceremony only, not to participate as a marshal. If you would like to marshal, please contact Charlene Simmons at charlene-simmons@utc.edu, who will provide additional information and arena credentials.
