Application for Honors Seminar Proposals 2023-2024.pdf
Dear Colleagues,
The Honors College invites faculty members from all colleges to submit proposals for special-topics general education seminars to be taught in the 2023-2024 academic year. We’re asking you to submit classes that are distinct from those you teach in your home departments—classes you’ve always thought would engage and transform students, but that may not fit easily into a specific degree program. Please see the attached call/application for more information about honors seminars and the proposal process.
We are piloting a new fillable PDF application form this year. If you have trouble navigating the attached form, please let me know and I will send you a Word version. You are also free to answer the application questions in a separate document (though our hope is that the new application form will make life easier, not harder!).
The next deadline for proposals is February 15th. Though the application notes that this deadline is limited to Spring 2024 proposals, we have a few remaining slots for Fall 2023 courses as well (so shoot me a quick message if you’re still interested in Fall teaching). And please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions about the Honors College, or if you would like to chat about possible course topics in the weeks ahead. I’m committed to growing our faculty, and I’m eager to hear your teaching ideas!
Many thanks,
William Kuby, Ph.D. (he/him)
Associate Dean of the Honors College
