Washington Post opinion writer Jennifer Rubin joins the Tennessee Democracy Forum on October 19th at UTC for the next Conversation on Democracy, sponsored by the Adolph S. Ochs Professor of Government, the Division of Diversity and Engagement and the Honors College. The event will take place at 7 p.m. in the Guerry Center Reading Room.
In the hour-long, moderated, fireside chat, Mrs. Rubin will delve into the pivotal role of women in the pro-democracy movement in the United States. In addition, she will reflect on her own ideological journey over time, providing a unique perspective on the evolution of her beliefs and their intersection with the pro-democracy movement.

Jennifer Rubin is an opinion writer for The Washington Post. She covers politics and policy, foreign and domestic, and provides insight into the conservative movement, the Republican and Democratic parties, and threats to Western democracies. She is the author of Resistance: How Women Saved Democracy from Donald Trump. Rubin is also an MSNBC contributor and frequent guest on syndicated radio programs. She came to The Post after three years with Commentary magazine. Prior to her career in journalism, Rubin practiced labor law for two decades.
