Survivor Advocacy Services, a program within the Center for Women and Gender Equity, is continuing our educational initiative entitled “Don’t Cancel Your Class”. The educational sessions can be offered in person or virtually when professors are needing to cancel their class or wanting to bring in a guest speaker. These programs are intended to offer educational sessions about gender-based violence for the UTC community while connecting them to on campus resources. We are working in collaboration with the Center for Wellbeing to create holistic educational sessions.
Below are some session topics that are available, but sessions can be customized for the specific needs of your class or organization.
- Rape Culture
- Supporting Survivors
- Realities of Gender-Based Violence
- Consent
- Healthy Relationships
- Overview of Gender-Based Violence
- Media Impacts on Gender-Based Violence
- Dating Violence in the LGBTQ+ Community
- Step Up: Bystander Intervention
- Step Up: Against Dating Violence
