University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Faculty and Staff,
On behalf of Housing and Residence Life, I would like to invite you to join us for our annual House Calls program. House Calls is the opportunity for faculty and staff to connect with first-year students early on in their educational journey
Housing and Residence Life’s vision is through partnerships, we seek to unify students in an engaged learning community that provides opportunities for growth, diversity and responsible living. We are committed to bringing our residents’ academic lives into our residence halls by reinforcing positive relationships with faculty beyond the classroom. Through House Calls we can achieve that critical outcome.
House Calls is scheduled to begin with a brief orientation and brown bag lunch for our volunteers on Thursday, September 8, at 1 p.m. in West Campus Housing. This event, with your strong participation, will bring faculty and staff into our first-year communities to speak with residents. Volunteers will be provided a meal voucher to grab lunch and join us in West Campus. Following lunch, each faculty and staff member will be paired with a Resident Assistant and/or Resident Director and will go door to door in our first-year communities. Our primary focus will be to engage residents about their experience at UTC thus far in the semester.
Don’t miss this opportunity to engage students in their communities outside the classroom. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please visit the following link to sign up: https://forms.office.com/r/rPf749w1hf.
The deadline for signup is Thursday, September 1, at 12 p.m.
