Faculty and staff parents of soon-to-be college students, Vice Chancellor Yancy Freeman cordially invites you to the festivities when the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s UTC Road Trip: The Power C Tour comes home to campus. As the tour set out to visit the state’s four largest cities, the best—Chattanooga—was saved for last. Please bring your Chattanooga-area high schoolers and join us from 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16, in the UC Tennessee Room. You’ll find colleagues who can answer questions about college majors, student services, financial aid and more.
In addition to taking in informative presentations and light refreshments, visiting students will have the opportunity to win prizes including:
- Two $1,000 Power C scholarships
- Two $500 housing stipends
- Orientation registration discounts
- UTC-themed prizes and gear
Prospective students will be able to receive an on-site admission decision. Qualified high school seniors who meet admission requirements (2.85 GPA with an 18 ACT or a 2.5 GPA with a 21 ACT) can get admitted in a “Moc Minute” at the event for free. To participate in Moc Minute, students must submit an online application at https://www.utc.edu/apply at least 48 hours before the event and bring their high school transcripts to the event.
